Ayatollah Khamenei to Deliver Speech on Anniversary of 1978 Qom Uprising
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei is to deliver a televised speech on Friday.
The speech will be broadcast live Friday morning on Iran’s TV and radio channels.
It will mark the anniversary of the uprising on January 8, 1978 (19th of Dey)
In the past, thousands of people from Qom would travel to Tehran every year to meet the Leader in the Hussainiyah of Imam Khomeini.
But the speech will be a televised broadcast this year without other people being present due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
